GoldenTyre would like to say Happy New Year to everyone and announce some big news. Many changes have taken place in the last couple months so we’ll do the best we can to get you all as much information as possible. We have new tire models and sizes in Canada that were previously unavailable. We have new sponsored riders and teams running GoldenTyre this season. We have information about the GoldenTyre spec Supermoto tire for the new 2012 US Supermoto series.  We have rider updates on all our team riders here in good ol’ Canada. So let’s get started!

First, GoldenTyre is happy to announce the updated GT213 front tire.

Intermediate/Hard compound. Has received extensive testing in Italy with great feedback. FIM & DOT rated, these tires are finally here in Canada and have already been put to use by some of the team riders. Amazing levels of grip under braking straight up and down, as well as trail braking while incorporating lean angle. Very confidence inspiring and one of the most durable tires on the market.

The GT240 rear is now available in 110/100-18, as well as last years 110/90-19. This tire did extremely well in soft muddy and sandy type race conditions like, “The Big Kahuna” and “The Dirty Dragon.”

Meeting the requests of rider feedback, we also brought in the GT230 in the 120/100-18 for all the 300cc two strokers and 450cc thumpers.

GT230N now has longer lateral and second line of knobbing. Perfectly round pear and Tube Type fitting, works great with mousse. Shoulder is now little higher and the shape inside host mousse perfectly. No FIM or E Mark homologation, it’s for off road use only. This tire shines in the slop and muck of BC spring riding conditions.

For all of those mini bike dad’s out there, we now have the GT232 rear available in a 3.00 x 10” application.

GoldenTyre will be taking over the East Coast now too! PR-MX is going to be the East Coast distributor for GoldenTyre this season. They will be stocking all the models and sizes of tires, tubes and mousses that GoldenTyre Canada has.  Check out all they have to offer at www.pr-mx.ca

In other news, GoldenTyre has been chosen as the control tire for the new USA Pro Supermoto series. Signing a three year deal, GoldenTyre will be the sole tire supplier for this new series until the end of 2014. GoldenTyre has already been the FIM World Supermoto series control tire for the last two seasons, it is now adding the USA to it’s impressive resume. What does this mean to you supermoto racers in Canada? Well, I’m glad you asked. GoldenTyre will be working with GP moto of Kamloops, B.C. to be bringing the supermoto tire lineup into Canada. We have already brought in these tires for testing purposes and had amazing results with them.
